68--Airfield Runway De-Icing

LI 001: Cryotech NAAC Solid Runway Deicer. The following are the minimum mandatory salient characteristics that shall be included on the Deicer, must be compatible with liquid potassium acetate deicers, must be at least 97 percent anhydrous sodium acetate by weight with less than one percent corrosion inhibitors, an equal must meet FAA approved specification SAF. AMS 1431 for deicing and anti-icing compounds in the form of a solid for use on runways and taxiways, shall be deliverable in bulk inside of 1000kgs bags each, Cryotech NAAC Deicer or equal.
