2020 Bloomfield Water Distribution System - System-Wide Leak Detection

The work includes providing all equipment and manpower to perform a system-wide leak detection survey of the Township of Bloomfield water distribution system. The township water system is comprised of a total of 110 miles of water main of varying diameters over an area of 5.4 square miles. The majority of mains are located within approximately 100 miles of public streets and right-of ways. The remaining lines are located under unimproved public right-of-ways with a small portion crossing under the Garden State Parkway. The Bloomfield water distribution system is township-owned and operated by the Bloomfield Water Department and currently serves an estimated population of 48,000 customers.
