Description | Demolition of the IBT Education Building The bids are being solicited pursuant to KRS 45A.365. The City of Henderson reserves the right to request documentation supporting a bidder's claim of resident bidder status. Failure to provide such documentation upon request shall result in disqualification of the bidder or contract termination. All technical questions shall be addressed to the attention of Dylan H. Ward, Project Manager, at dhward@cityofhendersonky.org or Jeff Putman, Municipal Facilities Superintendent at jputman@cityofhendersonky.org or 270-860-.2072 Bid procedure questions should be directed to Dawn Winn, Assistant Finance Director, at 270-831-1200. Bid Bond: A Bid Bond in the form of cash, cashier's check, or a satisfactory bond executed by the Bidder or a surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, payable to the City of Henderson, shall be submitted with each bid. Performance and Payment Bonds: The successful bidder must furnish, within seven (7) days of notice of bid award, a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract price, as well as a payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price. Failure to supply the performance bond will result in forfeiture of the bid bond. Failure to comply with the provisions of the plans and specifications will result in forfeiture of the performance bond. All bonds must be in a form acceptable to the City of Henderson. The performance bond shall be held for a one-year guarantee period, at which time, it will be released if no defaults are found. The payment bond will be released as soon as the contractor has certified to the City that all material and labor used on the project have been paid for. All bids shall remain in effect for sixty (60) days from date of opening Payment: Within fifteen (15) days after completion of the work, and before acceptance and payment will be made, the Contractor shall clean and remove from the work site and adjacent property all surplus and discarded materials, rubbish and temporary structures; restore in an acceptable manner all property, both public and private, which has been damaged in the execution of the work; and leave the site of the work in a neat and presentable condition. |
