Description

Solicitation:- N40080-20-D-0018 The proposed 5,830 SF (approximately 76' x 76') single-story Secure Weapons Facility will be located on the southeast corner of Naval Air Station Patuxent River in the Strike Launch Compound Range. The preliminary siting of the proposed facility on the site was driven by the 100-FT MDE Critical Area Buffer to the south, and the standoff distances to the adjacent building on the east and west. The main program consists of 3 secure rooms meeting ICD 705, a high bay work area with a 3-ton crane, and an open office/lab area. Additional rooms include a tool storage area, break area, mothers room, restrooms, mechanical room, and electrical room. The exterior wall construction will be a metal panel system with rigid insulation on a CMU masonry wall. The building will be served by split system heat pumps and an energy recovery ventilator (ERV). Each thermal zone is provided with a split system heat pump. The building will have a sprinkler system and mass notification system. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated price range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
