Description | CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA SEALED BIDS Notice is hereby given that the City of Rancho Cucamonga ("City") will receive sealed bids for the materials, supplies, equipment and or services set forth herein, subject to all conditions outlined in the Bid Package, Plans and Specifications. 1. PROJECT NAME 2022 HSIP Traffic Signal Modifications at Various Locations. The scope of work consists of, but not limited to replacement of traffic signal heads, traffic signal modifications, installation of outer Battery Back-up System enclosure, and video detection system, and other items of work as shown on the plans. Engineer s Estimate is $615,000. A total of fifty (50) working days to complete the project. 2. OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS: In an effort to go green and paperless, digital copies of the plans, specifications, and bid proposal, including any future addenda or revisions to the bid documents, are available by going to website and signing up, by going to Member Login or Member Signup (its free), then choose California, then scroll down to San Bernardino County and click on Browse Cities, then scroll down to Rancho Cucamonga and click on City Projects, then click on the Project of interest under the Title and follow directions for download. Note, copies of the plans, specifications, bid proposal, addendums and revisions will not be provided, digital copies must be downloaded from the above website then printed. Prospective bidders must register for an account on online to be included on the prospective bidder s list(s) and to receive email updates of any addenda or revisions to the bid documents. Be advised that the information contained on this site may change over time and without notice to prospective bidders or registered users. While effort is made to keep information current and accurate and to notify registered prospective bidders of any changes to the bid documents, it is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to register with online and to check this website on a daily basis through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates. No proposal will be considered from a Contractor to whom a proposal form has not been issued by the City of Rancho Cucamonga to registered prospective bidders from online. 4. CONTRACTOR LICENSE: In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has determined that Contractor shall possess any and all contractors licenses, in form and class as required by any and all applicable laws with respect to any and all of the work to be performed under this contract including, a Class-A (General Engineering Contractor) or Class C-10 License (Electrical Contractor) in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Law (California Business and Professions Code, Section 7000 et. seq.). Contractor shall also obtain at least one technician performing the work associated with traffic signal cabinet, emergency vehicle preemption, video detection systems, and related equipment certified as an International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Senior Field Technician Level III . 5. PREVAILING WAGES: In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, et seq., of the Labor Code, the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work to be done. The Contractor will be required to pay to all persons employed on the project by the Contractor sums not less than the sums set forth in the documents entitled "General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1. "These documents can be reviewed in the Engineering Department or may be obtained from the State (go to online, Statistics and Research ). 6. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form and amount specified in Public Contract Code Sections 20170 and 20171. See Bid Package for details. 7.
