Description

Furnishing of labor, equipment, and materials required to remove exiting medias, furnish and install new medias, transport and disposal of removed medias and digester gas testing after media installation from hydrogen sulfide and siloxane removal system at our Southern Water Pollution Control Facility. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any and all informalities or technicalities, if in the best interest of the Authority, including the right to reject a Bidder based upon poor prior experience. This contract will be awarded through a Fair and Open process pursuant to New Jersey Local Unit Pay To Play Law, Chapter 19, P.L. 2004 (as amended by P.L. 2005, c.51), N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C 17:27, equal employment opportunities, P.L. 1977, c.33, corporate and/or partnership ownership and P.L. 2004, c.57, business registration of public contracts. Box P Bayville, NJ 08721 Phone: 732-269-4500 Ext. 8229 Fax#: 732-269-8440 Email: ccarty@ocua.com SUMMARY OF WORK Remove existing “iron sponge” media, including but not limited to 2 to 3 inches depth of river rock, temporarily remove manways access, spraying assembly, and media supports from a hydrogen sulfide removal tank (H?S tank). Remove existing silica gel beads media, including but not limited to temporarily remove manways access and media supports from two (2) siloxane removal tanks (siloxane tanks). Transport and disposal of removed medias. Proper disposal of all material shall be in accordance with all regulations. Clean the hydrogen sulfide and siloxanes tanks and appurtenances after the removal of media. Furnish, deliver, and install new iron-hydroxide media including but not limited to 2 to 3 inches depth of new river rock, re-installing manways access, spraying assembly and media supports, to the hydrogen sulfide tank. Furnish, deliver, and install new silica gel beads media, including but not limited to re-installing manways access and media supports from two (2) siloxane removal tanks. Furnish and deliver an additional quantity of iron-hydroxide media for one (1) complete change out in the future, but not less than total of 6,600 lb. of media shall be delivered. This amount shall be in addition to the media required to be replaced ow. The media for future installation shall be delivered in woven bags at 25 kg. per bag, delivered on pallets. Provide start-up, commissioning and training. Training of plant personnel shall be a minimum of 4-hours. After installation, start-up, commissioning of the new media, digester testing of the incoming and treated digester gas shall be performed. Provide digester gas analysis and report for test media performance. One sample shall be collected before the ELS tank and one sample after the Siloxane Tanks. Provide Bid Submittal with the bid proposal in accordance with the Technical Specifications. Provide Shop Drawings in accordance with the Technical Specifications. Provide four (4) copies of final Installation, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and two (2) copies on portable dives (thumb drives) for all medias provided in accordance with the Technical Specifications.
