Description

The improvements generally include increasing the average daily treatment capacity from 1.62 million gallons per day (MGD) to 2.0 MGD through construction of a new sequencing batch reactor (SBR) activated sludge process to replace the existing trickling filter treatment process. Additional improvements to the existing facility include rehabilitation of the existing influent screw pump station, replacement of the existing mechanical screens, and rehabilitation of the final effluent pump station. New facilities to be constructed include a SBR influent pump station, a three (3) basin SBR facility with post-equalization basin, a new ultraviolet (UV) disinfection facility, aerobic digestion facility, and sludge dewatering facility. Additional improvements to be included as part of this project include various site civil and yard piping improvements, construction of a new administration and operations building, development of a SCADA system for purposes of monitoring the various unit processes, and various site electrical improvements including installation of a new standby generator.
