Description | NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Palmetto will receive sealed bids from individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other legal entities authorized to do business in the State of Florida, to furnish all materials; labor and equipment for the installation of new Low Impact Design Pervious Pavers for diagonal parking, as specified in Invitation for Bid. The site encompasses approximately 21,000 SF and includes parking, lighting, signage and landscaping. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request resubmission. The City also reserves the right to accept all or any part of the bid and to increase or decrease quantities to meet additional or reduced requirements of the project. MBE/WBE participation is encouraged. Every request for such an interpretation shall be made in writing and emailed to the Purchasing Agent at nhaisley@palmettofl.org no later than 5:00 pm EST on Friday, July 1, 2022. A bid guarantee equivalent to five percent (5%) of the bid price is required. The "bid guarantee" shall consist of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument which must be submitted with the bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified Upon execution of a contract for work covered by this project or parts of this project, the Contractor shall furnish surety bond in an amount not less than 100 percent of the contract price each (100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond). The surety bond must remain valid for one year beyond the date of acceptance of the completed construction project Due to expected delays in material delivery, this notice will not be issued until all materials have arrived. Duration of the project shall be to commence work under this contract with an adequate force and equipment within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after receipt of written notice from the City to proceed and to fully complete all necessary work under the same within not more than Ninety (90) consecutive calendar days. |
