Asbestos Ceiling Plaster Textured Patch Material Abatement & Operations and Maintenance Pipe Insulation Wrap and Repair Procedures Within CSMS Building 1 Restroom, Shower and Locker Room Work Area

Removal and disposal of specified Ceiling Plaster Textured Patch Material from within the Men’s Restroom work area of the building. All asbestos containing Ceiling Plaster Textured Patch Material shall be removed and disposed as asbestos containing waste utilizing full containment asbestos abatement procedures. A two (2) layered free standing poly enclosure shall be constructed to contain the asbestos material to be removed. The entire ceiling surface containing the patch material shall be completely demolished under full containment. Any penetrations exposed above ceiling level shall be immediately sealed with two (2) layers of 6 mil. polyethylene sheeting critical barriers. Additional work area preparations shall include a negative pressure system including a digital manometer and an attached three-chamber decontamination unit with operational shower facility. The negative pressure system shall capable of maintaining at least four (4) air exchanges per hour (-.02) or greater throughout the project. The negative air system shall include a digital recording manometer, extra recording chart paper and a complete operation instruction booklet.
