Description

The project includes the construction of 6,725 linear feet of new paved greenway trail adjacent to the Ararat River and approximately 2,889 linear feet of enhancement and restoration to the Ararat River. The Project includes installation of a 50 linear-foot pedestrian bride structure, 145 LF of sidewalk, picnic shelters, bike racks, benches and signage along the new extension and installation of outdoor fitness equipment on a previously completed section of greenway. The City of Mount Airy will accept sealed bids from Prequalified Contractors for the construction of the Mount Airy Granite Greenway Trail Extension and Ararat River Restoration Project.
