Description | As of May 12, 2023. The project Reject and Re-bid. No anticipated date for rebid Major items of construction consist of the installation of 1,650 SY road reconstruction; 1,130 LF concrete curb; 4,470 SF concrete sidewalk; 11 EA inlets; 604 LF storm sewer, 490 LF Sanitary Sewer, 540 LF Waterline; and other associated items. Clarification Deadline - 1/12/2023 5:00 PM Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank check, payable to Millersville Borough or a Bid Bond in the form described in the bidding documents executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the Total Bid. Bidders must submit a non-collusion affidavit. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. Millersville Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Millersville Borough for a period of not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Notice is hereby given to bidders that construction of this project is being funded, in part, by a federal grant provided to Lancaster County from the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the Davis Bacon Act of March 3, 1931, as amended. Wages must be paid by contractors according to the U.S. Department's Wage Decision included in the specifications. All bidders must also comply with the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Executive Order of 11246 or any other order which prohibits discrimination in employment. All bidders are advised that an executed Attachment B from the Section 3 Action Plan included in the specifications must be submitted or the bid will be rejected as non-responsive. Qualified Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MBE/WBE) are encouraged to respond to the Invitation to Bid. |
