Description | Projects Include: Facia and Soffit Repair Remove, Dispose and Replace Roofing Sub-Slab Foundation Drain Tile Replace Defective Ceiling Tiles The project is funded by Kent County Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). Project to be completed within 90 days of Notice to Proceed. The scope includes multiple projects. One or multiple may be selected for award; please provide line-item pricing by project. Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondents. Kent County will evaluate, award and contract for the goods and services in this solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. The solicitation will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the solicitation, is the lowest price. The bid amount for this residential construction project has been calculated based on the current prices for the component building materials. However, the market for the building materials are considered volatile, and sudden price fluctuating could occur. The Respondent agrees to use their best efforts to obtain the lowest possible prices from available building material suppliers and pass any savings back to the County. Should there be change in the prices of the construction raw materials between date of bid submission and receipt of purchase order, the County may agree to adjust the actual raw material cost fluctuation. Respondent shall, before making any purchases of materials, provide to the Kent County Purchasing Division a written statement expressing the percentage adjustment to bid price, and the dollar amount of the price adjustment to be incurred, and only for actual costs of construction materials excluding overhead or profit. The County may then, at its option, terminate the contract by providing written notice of termination to Respondent, agree to accept the adjustment or elect to award to the next highest bidder. The County reserves the right to request actual material quotes or invoices at time of bid submission and award if the Respondent requests to adjust the price.
