Description | A. Yard Waste Materials: Yard waste (leaves, brush (which includes Christmas trees), limbs, grass clippings, wood chips - loose and/or in paper leaf bags) also includes and logs and stumps greater than 6 inches in diameter. Yard waste excludes any “storm debris”. Yard waste is separated accordingly: brush, leaves, logs & stumps, and woodchips. Yard Waste will be collected ONLY in brown paper leaf bags, garbage cans with no lids, or open-top cardboard boxes. B. Storm and/or Disaster Debris: Storm and/or Disaster Debris is green/vegetative waste (leaves, brush, limbs, tree branches, logs, and/or stumps, etc.) generated by a natural disaster, i.e., hurricane, tropical storm, tornado, flood, ice or snow storm. Depending on the severity of the storm, debris can be generated anywhere from a week to four (4) weeks after the event. If the severity of the storm warrants a longer timeframe, the City and the Contractor will negotiate the length of time. |
