Description | THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY NOR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST. THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractors to Replace a Revolving Door Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Government intends to procure a single award Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business). Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services to, proof of applicable certification, Unique Entity ID (UEID) (www.Sam.gov), address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing to Delfo.Saco-mizhquiri@va.gov and received not later than July 29, 2022, 4:30pm EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The cost estimate range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Scope of Work The contractor will replace the existing revolving door with a new revolving door as well as provide interior renovations to the existing main building vestibule, in Bldg. No. 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovation of existing space located at the first floor of Building 200 as required by the drawings and specifications. All demolition and alteration work to be phased to ensure work is not to impede the normal traffic flow and proper egress paths are maintained. Work includes demolition, general construction, alterations to interiors finishes, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and electrical, etc. work as shown on the bid documents. Electrical work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project including replacement of lighting fixtures, power modifications for new revolving door and power to new HVAC units as indicated on the drawings. HVAC work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required HVAC construction work on this project including replacement of existing HVAC units. Plumbing work includes modification to existing plumbing system as shown on the drawings. Fire protection work includes modification to existing sprinklers and piping as shown on the drawings. Work includes all other items as required by the drawings and specifications. Work needed to be performed outside of normal business hours from 8:00am-4:30pm should be included in bid proposals. The contract completion time is 300 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed.
