Description

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the Village of Mount Pleasant Engineering Department SUMMARY OF PROJECT Removal and replacement of the rubber membrane roof and appurtenances of the Village of Mount Pleasant DPW Building #3-7935 Old Spring Street. This is a lump sum contract. The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the Award, the Bid Security shall be forfeited to Owner as liquidated damages. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. Failure to list subcontractors or suppliers may be cause for rejection of the Bid. All bidders, and sub-contractors, must file a "3-Year Contractor's Qualification Application," and other documents with the Bid (see Instructions to Bidders). NOTE: ALL applications that were previously approved under the last 3-year cycle expired on 1/31/2022. Therefore, all bidders and subcontractors that did NOT submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, MUST submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. The Owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Owner, subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract price.
