| Description | Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated herein, except as may otherwise be specified in this statement of work. 550-pound, 770-pound, or 825-pound advanced ceiling lifts as specified (with fast motion, continuous-charge room-covering rail systems, and tool-free emergency lowering, plus scales where specified) are to be delivered, installed, and tested, in up to 309 places as listed in the location list. In each case, functioning lifts will be traded in (and there will be 6 extra traded-in motors because the GH2 Twin lifts had two lifts each). Any discount associated with trade-in must be noted on the bid. Deinstallation and disposal of old lifts and unneeded rail and hardware is the contractor’s responsibility. All work must be coordinated with COR and Supply Chain Management Services in order to coordinate paperwork, and all new and decommissioned lifts must be taken to PPM in the Warehouse (Bldg 44 in Dallas; bldg. 10 in Bonham) for inventory record/sticker purposes. In large rooms to be specified below, new continuous-charge rail will be required and will need to attach to existing structural supports. Some of those rooms, as specified, will require a redesign to accommodate curtains and door widths (likely to mean the traveling rail is the longer rail). Locations are in Dallas VAMC and Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center (Bonham). Installation/replacement will need to be timed according to availability of rooms. Details are provided in sections C and D below, Specific Mandatory Tasks and Associated Deliverables. If proposed cost exceeds budget, VA will prioritize and specify final lift replacement locations. | ||
