Description | As of August 5, 2022, project is on hold. No definite date for the rebid. Civil Construction for (4) 5-inch conduits; the removal of an existing substation concrete pad, and the construction of a new concrete transformer pad. SCOPE OF WORK: 2.1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately 50 feet of (4) 5" concrete-encased PVC schedule 40 conduits from two riser poles with (4) 36" radius 5" steel sweeps to a newly constructed 96" by 96" concrete transformer pad. The transformer pad installation shall also include grounding per Danvers Electrics specifications, provided by the owner. 2.2. The Contractor will have to work around and remove existing substation ground grid during trenching and excavation. 2.3. The Substation will be de-energized prior to contractor start and will remain de-energized for the duration of the project. 2.4. The existing substation concrete transformer pad will need to be broken up and removed. Assume the concrete-pad thickness to be approximately 3 feet thick. 2.5. The site excavated material will need to be stock piled on site and tested for contamination by Owner's Licensed Site Professional to determine proper disposal. The Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of material from the site. 2.6. Restoration: 2.6.1. Substation Property and Roadway Restore to existing condition or better. Repair ground grids if cut. 2.6.2. Public Right of Way Areas shall be paved with temporary trench binder course pavement, 2 inches thick, as soon as practicable after installation of individual conduit line segments. |
