19th Street Development

The 19th Street Project Site is an approximately 19-acre site northwest of the intersection of 19th Street and Knoxville Avenue. TTU’s vision for the 19th Street Project includes a TTU-branded hotel with surrounding uses that are complementary to the hotel and the TTU campus. The 19th Street Project is contemplated to include amenities that will make it an attractive place for students, faculty, and staff to shop, gather, and socialize, including a mixture of retail, restaurants, green spaces, pedestrian walking paths, and outdoor gathering spaces, such as a plaza. Excluding the hotel, no other uses of the 19th Street Project Site will be TTU-branded without additional approvals and separate agreements between TTU and the Developer or tenant subject to TTU policies. The look and feel of the 19th Street Project should be upscale and should include a design favorable of the Spanish Renaissance architectural style to provide for an aesthetic appearance that is cohesive with the adjacent TTU campus buildings and similar to the nearby Texas Tech Federal Credit Union, The Womble Center, the United Spirit Arena, and the TTU West Village Residence Hall.
