For McCluer South Berkeley, Robinwood, and Walnut Grove Roof Restoration / Replacement No proposal will be considered if received after the date specified No Fax Bids Accepted No proposal will be considered unless submitted on the enclosed Request for Proposal form. The bidder may attach appropriate supplements to the farm. Purchase Orders for items on which proposals are accepted will be issued to the lowest responsible bidder complying with all of the Terms and Conditions. However, the Board of Education reserves the right to make such selections that, in its judgment, are best suited and most acceptable for the purpose intended. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof. The School District reserves the right to increase or decrease by ten percent (10%) the quantity of any item in the specifications on which proposals are accepted. If the proposal exceeds $10,000, the contractor shall submit with the proposal a cashiers check, certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to the school district in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid submitted, as a guarantee that if awarded the contract the bidder shall promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as required. The owner shall require the successful bidder to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond prior to the execution of the contract. The bonds shall be written in the amount of 100% of the total contract price. On any project of which there is a contract that is less than $300,000, the general liability coverage provided by the contractor shall be a minimum of $500,000 combined single limit and aggregate, as required by the school district. Certificate of Insurance is required prior to the start of work. Liquidated damages of $500 per day will be issued in the event that the awarded contactor does on substantially complete the project based on the mutually agreed upon completion date.
