Description

Reference Number 0000331103 The City of Aurora is requesting proposals from prequalified firms to provide Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) preconstruction and construction services, herein referred to as the Contractor, who will partner with the design team on this project. As part of the team, during the predesign phase of the project the selected contractor will provide input on schedule, work phasing, constructability, cost estimates, value engineering, and other support as may be described herein. A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and an updated project schedule will be established by the Architect/Engineer and the Contractor in conjunction with the City of Aurora. The Contractor will evaluate, among other things, availability of materials and labor, project schedule, project costs as they relate to the established budget, constructability, and will work closely with the Architect/Engineer and the City of Aurora throughout the planning, design and construction phases of the project. This project is funded partly with federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Fire station construction is anticipated to begin late Summer/early Fall 2024. The City of Aurora Fire Rescue's Fire Station 9 will be a demo of the existing 7,500 sq foot building and construction of a new pre-engineered metal building on a 0.82 acre parcel at 17200 E.
