Questions subsequent to the pre-proposal meeting date are to be submitted in writing via email to the Procurement Officer no later than the date and time listed in the Key Informat Project Duration: 730 Calendar Days Project Cost Class :H - Over $15M The Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is a Federally mandated vital security measure designed to ensure that individuals who pose a threat do not gain access to restricted and/or secure areas of the nation's maritime transportation system. TWIC was established by Congress through the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) and is administered by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Coast Guard. TWICs are tamper-resistant biometric credentials that will be issued to workers who require unescorted access to secure areas of ports, vessels, outer continental shelf facilities and all credentialed merchant mariners. Most persons who will perform work on marine terminals under a contract with the Administration will be required to obtain a TWIC. See Special Provision SP-33 for MPA TWIC requirements for this contract. Excavation, site clearing and demolition, new storm drainage pipe installation, installation of new pump vault station and associated electrical work, and all related work at Dundalk Marine Terminal, Baltimore, Maryland. 19C14032.04 |
