Description

This Federally funded Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) project involves the upgrade of the traffic signal control equipment at six (6) intersections on the High Street/Route 9 Corridor in Somersworth at the following locations: 1. High Street at Blackwater Road/Indigo Hill Road 2. High Street at Stackpole Road/Washburn Court 3. High Street at Walton's Way/Commercial Drive 4. High Street at Andrews Road 5. High Street at Tri-City Plaza 6. High Street at Kelwyn Drive/Indian Brook Commons The work generally includes the installation of new traffic signal control cabinets, traffic signal controllers, video detection equipment, emergency vehicle preemption equipment, pedestrian signal equipment and communication equipment. The work also includes the reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps at five (5) of the project intersections. Curb ramp reconstruction is not proposed at the intersection of High Street at Blackwater Road/Indigo Hill Road. Representatives of the Owner will be present to discuss the project. Addenda, as considered necessary by the Owner, will be transmitted in response to questions arising at the pre-bid conference. Oral statements made at the pre-bid conference may not be relied on and will not be binding or legally effective. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. CONTRACTOR shall pay OWNER Eight Hundred and Fifty dollars ($850.00) for each calendar day
