Athens Public Safety Training Facility Tower Construction And Installation

Install at least two Fire/Tactical Training Towers of similar size and scope. Prefabricated fire training tower with foundation. The structure to be erected is being constructed by Fire Facilities, Inc. who will provide engineered drawings for the structure and the foundation. It is anticipated that the tower will be delivered to the City on or about August 10, 2022. The manufacturer will notify the City approximately two weeks in advance of the delivery date. The successful bidder shall have a crew onsite to unload and stage the structure materials upon delivery. The successful bidder will have 48 hours to inventory and inspect the components and must notify the City and Fire Facilities within 72 hours if materials are found to be missing or damaged. The vendor must comply with all recommendations of the manufacturer regarding preparation, storage, and installation of the structure. The structure foundation must be completed at least 28 days prior to the structure’s arrival. This timeframe will allow the concrete to properly cure prior to installation of the structure.
