Description | Locations: A. Fond Du Lac Garage and Station 2932 N 35th St Milwaukee, WI 53210 b. Kinnickinnic Garage and Station 1710 S Kinnickinnic Ave Milwaukee, WI 53204 c. Fleet Maintenance 1525 W Vine St Milwaukee, WI 53205 d. Administration Building 1942 North 17th St Milwaukee, WI 53205 e. Fiebrantz Garage and Station 1900 West Fiebrantz Ave Milwaukee, WI 53209 f. 60th and Vliet Driver layover g. Keefe and West Atkinson Driver layover A. The work shall be performed by a licensed plumber and include all labor, tools and equipment e.g. cable type drain rodding and drain jetting machines along with any other related items as may be required for the complete cleaning and or internal inspections. Camera monitoring (including bypass plumbing, drain dewatering and associated work) of the drain and removing and disposing of all deposits cleaned from the drains. b. The equipment utilized shall be capable of removing all sand, dirt, rocks, and other debris (including roots) from the drain line to allow adequate internal inspection of all internal surfaces. The equipment used shall suit the conditions and size of the drain to be cleaned. c. Cleaning shall be performed within twenty-four (24) hours of the call for service. Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc. (MTS) is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. d. All safety precautions shall be followed by the Offeror during cleaning operations. The cost of such precautions shall be included in the price bid for this item. e. All precautions shall be taken by the Offeror to protect the drain from damage that might result from the use of unsuitable equipment or improper use of approved cleaning equipment. Any drains damaged during the cleaning operations because ofthe Offeror’s operations shall be promptly repaired to an acceptable condition (as determined by MTS) by and at the expense of the Offeror. If the Offeror’s cleaning equipment becomes immobilized within a drain, exits the line through broken pipe or portions break off within a storm drain, said equipment shall be retrieved at the Offeror ‘s expense. The Offeror shall act immediately to remedy problems created by the cleaning procedure, which represent a hazard to the general public, such as the collapse of the ground surface above a storm drain. If equipment retrieval necessitates excavation, the Offeror shall be responsible for accomplishing the work at his own expense. Following removal of the equipment, the Offeror shall restore the line and the site in accordance with the construction specifications of the governing body having jurisdiction. f. The Offeror shall dispose of all debris generated by drain cleaning activities. g. Due to the on-going COVID-19, the Offeror will need to follow MCTS Covid-19 protocols while on MCTS properties |
