RFP Design - Burroughs Audubon Nature Club Trail Improvements

Notice is hereby given that Burroughs Audubon Nature Club (BANC) is seeking proposals from qualified Landscape Architects licensed in New York State to provide landscape design, environmental services, and construction management for the Burroughs Audubon Nature Club Trail Improvements Project. BANC owns a 30-acre nature sanctuary in the Town of Victor, Ontario County, New York, with approximately two miles of trails and boardwalks. The proposed project includes the design and construction for repair/replacement of approximately 264 linear feet of boardwalk through wetland areas, approximately 250 linear feet of drainage work on at-grade trails, and rerouting of approximately 100 linear feet of trail. In addition, the project will involve the repair/replacement of existing boardwalks and trails, which will allow a significant portion of this trail system to be accessible. The proposed project will convert approximately 433 linear feet of existing at-grade trails to accessible trails, convert an additional 250 linear feet of existing boardwalk through a wetland area to accessible boardwalk, add an approximate 6' x 6' accessible observation area to the boardwalk, add an accessible outdoor education area near a trail junction, and add a 75 linear feet accessible path from the parking area to the clubhouse/restroom trailside facility. **A mandatory visit to this property with BANC representatives is required before the Expression of Interest (EOI) is written.
