Description

The work will consist of installing a new pre-fabricated building with two pumps with the associated controls and force main connection, new generator, and new fence with vehicle and pedestrian access gates. The existing pump station must remain functional for as long as possible until the new station is able to be brought online. Bypass Pumping will be required for switching over to the new station in various steps of the installation process. The new pump station will utilize the existing wet well and a new wet well lid will be required as a result of the work. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $25,000. The bid tabulation summaries will be made publicly available on the same day at 1:00 pm. Bids will be publicly awarded on February 14, 2022 at 7:00 pm (local time) at the Wyomissing Borough Hall, 22 Reading Boulevard, Wyomissing, PA 19610. All Requests for Information shall be in written form and transmitted via PennBid by 2:00 pm January 2, 2022 to allow time to post an addendum on PennBid(TM).No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Borough of Wyomissing. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Certification Statement, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough.
