Bids shall be on a form supplied by the Public Facilities Department, be clearly identified as a bid, completely filled in, signed by the bidder, and enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project Name and Project Number. All bids for this project are subject to current provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, section 39M as amended; and to the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled Henderson Schoolyard Improve- ments project. The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes install a new playground. The attention of all bidders is directed to the Boston Res- idents Jobs Policy section of the specifications and the obligation of the contractor in the performance of this con- tract. Bidders are hereby notified that this project is subject to M.G.L. c.149, 27 and in accordance contractors must pay prevailing wages as set by the Massachusetts Depart- ment of Labor Standards. A performance bond and labor and materials payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, of a surety company licensed to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and included on the U.S. Treasury current list of approved sureties (See Circular 570), in the sum of 100% of the contract price will be required of the success- ful bidder.
