Description

The City of Vidor, Texas will accept sealed bids for furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for the City of Vidor, Texas - West Davis Loop and Jennings Road Improvement Project. The project is generally described as the construction and rehabilitation of roadways throughout the city, along with all other necessary itemsshown in the plans and asrequired in the contract documents. The right is reserved by the City of Vidor, as the City's interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Vidor; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Vidor for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part is generally described as follows: City of Vidor, Texas West Davis Loop and Jennings Road Improvement Project All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
