Fire Alarm Replacement at Edison Hall and Physical Education Center

This work will be performed at the main Middlesex College campus in Edison, New Jersey, at the Physical Education Center and Edison Hall buildings. The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment required to complete the work described on the drawings and in these specifications as follows: a. Edison Hall Scope of work involves replacing the existing fire alarm system (Fire alarm panel, Annunciator, pull stations, strobes, combination horn strobes, smoke detectors, duct smoke detectors and associated conduit and wiring) with a new addressable Fire alarm system, Simplex 4100 ES with voice capabilities. The new panel will be located in existing Mechanical Room #160. The new remote annunciator will be located in vestibule area 173. b. Physical Education Center Scope of work involved replacing the existing fire alarm system (fire alarm panel, annunciator, pull stations, strobes, combination horn strobes, smoke detectors, duct smoke detectors and associated conduit and wiring) with a new addressable Fire Alarm System, Simplex 4100ES with voice capabilities. The new panel will be located in the existing Electrical Room # A111. New remote annunciators will be located in vestibule areas # A110A and #B113A. The Contractor shall coordinate with the College’s elevator service company for the installation/replacement of fire alarm devices required in the elevator shaft (s).
