Description | The U.S. Geological is seeking potential sources for the removal and replacement of two roofs at the Southeast Ecological Science Center located in Gainesville, Florida. A partial description of the requirement is as follows: Roof one is located on the first story portion of the Main Research Building and was constructed in the early 1980s. It is approximately 11,400 square feet. The building was constructed using CMU block and the roof has a structural decking as a base. A 2" polyurethane foam layer applied over it in 2009. and a structural concrete decking base. Roof two is a low-slope roof located on the Smith Annex building and was also constructed in the early 1980s. It is approximately 3428 square feet. The building is constructed of CMU block and has standard roof sheathing as the roof base. Roof 2 also has a roof shingle mansard to be replaced with a snap-lock standing seam metal roof to match the main building. | ||
