Description

Each bid shall be accompanied by a completed, notarized application form and submitted on the enclosed proposal form. Each bidder, by making a bid to furnish the aforementioned item(s), signifies their intention and good faith to enter into contract with the City of Waukegan should they be awarded the bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to make an award on those bids which, in its opinion, are most advantageous to the City of Waukegan. By the order of the Council of the City of Waukegan. Any questions regarding the actual bid should be directed to Chris Garland at 847-360-0944. All proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check, or bid bond in form and from a surety satisfactory to Owner, in an amount equal to at least ten percent of the Total Contract Price named in the Schedule of Prices section of the Contract/Proposal form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the penal sum of the full amount of the Contract Price, on forms provided by Owner from a surety company acceptable to Owner. Each proposal must be accompanied by a letter from such a surety company stating that it will execute Bonds, on forms provided by Owner, upon award of the Contract to Bidder.
