Construction of the Round Hill to Franklin Park Trail and Main Street Projects

Work consists of two (2) enhancement projects with VDOT project numbers of EN00-053-162(UPC 56454) and EN08-291-131(UPC 91248), respectively. The purpose of EN00-053-162(UPC 56454) is to install curb and sidewalk on both sides of East Loudoun Street (Business Route 7) from the intersection of North Main Street (Route 719) to the eastern Town limits (approximately 1,720 linear feet) and to install a 10’ shared use path between the Lake Point Subdivision and the Franklin Park ice skating rink (approximately 3,340 linear feet). The purpose of EN08-291-131(UPC 91248) is to install sidewalk from the intersection of East Loudoun Street to 35 North Main Street (approximately 1,260 linear feet) for the entire length on the east side of North Main Street and for a partial length on the west side of the street. This Project includes, but is not limited to: clearing and grubbing, excavation including rock excavation, asphalt paving, storm sewer construction, installation of erosion and sediment control measures, maintenance of traffic, the grading and reconnection of private entrances, fence replacement, installation of temporary and permanent signage, pavement markings, retaining wall modification/construction, and waterline relocation.
