Description | The project will include remodeling of room 212, Briefing Room into an operational SIPR room. This will include demolition, electrical and data revisions. New entry door with high security lock and the installation of the pathways needed to accommodate an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and an additional electrical circuit. LOCATION OF WORK: Major General George White Building 230 Geer Drive Salem Oregon, 97301 The project upgrades existing room #212 to meet the current security requirements for SIPR Communication. This will require demolition of current walls and ceiling. Add the necessary layers of materials to meet the current security requirements to the new walls and ceiling. All surfaces must be finished with primer and paint to match existing colors. Work to be performed shall include but will not be limited to the following: o Current walls and ceiling are to be removed in room # 212. o Existing door and frame to be removed, current CDX combination lock Shall be disposed of per DoD Lock Program protocol. Instructions to be provided upon contract award. o Walls Shall be reconstructed in room #212 as follows: A 5/8 inch-thick plywood layer shall be attached directly to the wall studs on the interior and covered with the layer of 5/8 inch thick wallboard. The plywood shall be continuously glued and screwed to the studs every 12 inches along the length of each stud and at the ceiling and floor. Ceiling construction to follow the same guidelines as the walls. o Walls and ceiling are to be insulated for sound attenuation to 30-45db. Acoustic fill and insulation shall be placed between the studs in a manner which prevents any slippage. o All walls and ceiling are to be finished and painted floor to ceiling to match existing finishes o HVAC penetrations will not be larger than 96 square inches. o All current electrical in walls is to be extended to new finished wall surface. o Install dedicated 120V, 20amp circuit for Network cabinet. This additional electrical circuit shall be pulled in from room 146 and be in conduit its entire length. o Install metal fire door, 16 gauge, rated to UL 10-UL 10C-NFPA 252 standards for 3 hour rated at 650 degrees. Door and door seals shall provide correct level of sound attenuation to prevent conversations from being overheard on the exterior of the door/room. o Install New metal door frame and Jam with same fire rating as the door, welded metal at room #212 o Install CDX10 combination lock on the door. CDX-10 hardware configuration shall have an interior exit device and be of the same fire rating as the new door. o Install a dedicated 3/4 inch conduit from Room #212 to the telecommunication room with pressed on connections for the SIPR communications cable, Cat 6 Fiber with connections to be specified at time of installation. o IDS detection exterior annunciator shall be mounted on the exterior wall of the SIPR near the top of the entry door. o No openings in the ceiling or walls shall exceed 96 square inches and will have appropriate sound attenuation/baffling to prevent sound transfer through the opening. o Contractor to provide complete dust control of adjacent spaces during demolition and construction. o The building and adjoining spaces will be occupied and in full operation during the entire project, therefore, noise levels shall be kept to a minimum. o This facility is a secure Military Operational facility, the contractor shall provide picture identification of all employee's & sub-contractors on a daily basis. The following range is a project estimate for bonding purposes only: $65,000 to $75,000.00 PROJECT START DATE: 15 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION: 120 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed FINAL COMPLETION: 180 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed "All rights and remedies available to Owner under applicable federal, state and local laws are also incorporated by reference herein and are cumulative with all rights and remedies under the Contract." |
