Boiler Equipment Maintenance and Repair Service

Boiler and water heater inspections and service are required by law. UO does not have the qualified personnel to perform the work. Furnish materials and labor for annual and semiannual service work on all boilers located at the UO Portland location. Provide repair services as needed and approved by a UO Portland Facilities representative. Service work to be coordinated with state or insurance inspector (Hartford Steam Boiler) through a UO Portland Facilities representative. Existing boilers have been inspected as of December 8, 2022. Work will occur on the UO Portland campus, 2811 NE Holman ST, Portland, Oregon 97211 Annual Boiler Service to Include: a. Service to be coordinated with state or insurance inspector (on years required to do so for permit renewal), inspector scheduled by others. Boiler/heater fireside will be opened, when applicable, refractory and fire side of tubes will be inspected for defects. Fireside and waterside gaskets removed will be replaced where applicable. All safety devices will be checked for proper operation (see semiannual service description). Condensate treatment media will be checked, media will be replaced when required. Boilers/heaters will be fired and warmed. Boilers/heaters will be tuned for optimal combustion using a calibrated gas analyzer. When applicable, Equipment will be put back into Lead/Lag operating rotation, and sequence in rotation verified for proper operation.
