Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Influent Pump Station Modifications Project

The project is located at the City's existing wastewater treatment facility and generally involves replacement of three (3) existing influent pumps, valves, VFD's, and associated work; replacement of existing sluice gates at the influent pump station and screening facility; cleaning of existing wet wells and piping at the influent pump station; temporary bypass pumping; and related work. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. NOTE: Prospective bidders are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their trade. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina will be observed in receiving and awarding this contract. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. BIDDERS MUST COMPLY WITH ALL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AS DETAILED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. FAILURE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF AN ADEQUATE SAFETY PROGRAM SHALL BE CAUSE FOR THE BID TO BE REJECTED. Bidders must comply with the provisions of the N. C. Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the City. The Engineer for the project is The Lane Group, Inc. FIVE PERCENT (5%) BID DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE SEALED IN A SEPARATE ENVELOPE AND ATTACHED TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENVELOPE CONTAINING THE PROPOSAL THE CITY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FULL OR PARTIAL SETS OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING ANY ADDENDUM, OBTAINED FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE.
