415 State Street Masonry Facade Restoration and Associated Repairs

The State University of New York at System Administration located at 353 Broadway, Albany, NY 12246. The sandstone used around the doors and windows on the front facade of 415 is deteriorating. Water infiltration on the right side of the portico structure is causing advanced deterioration of the brown stone pediment, cornice, frieze, column capitol, door head and door jamb. Several failed patches on the frieze, column and column base have failed allowing water infiltration. Repointing of the terracotta quoins and roman brick is needed, due to water infiltration at the quoins along the right side of the façade. This building is listed on the State Historic Preservation Offices register of historic buildings in the Washington Park Historic District in Downtown Albany.
