Description

The Baraboo project consists of the construction of a new County Highway Department headquarters facility. The facility includes main business functions, including office areas, meeting rooms, breakroom, restrooms & locker rooms, data center, etc. It also includes multiple areas to support daily operations, including a fleet parking garage, vehicle wash bays, a full vehicle repair garage, paint booth room, sandblast room, welding shop, etc. The facility is approximately 164,640 square feet, including second floor storage areas. The Sauk County Highway Department will remain in full operation for the duration of the project, in the existing Baraboo facility and surrounding site areas. Once the Department relocates into the new facility, the existing facility will be abandoned and demolished as a part of the project. Work scopes include, but are not limited to, demolition, civil & landscape, asphalt paving, concrete, structural steel, elevator, overhead cranes, precast walls & floors, membrane roofing, carpentry, doors & windows, interior and exterior finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection & fire alarm, information technology, audio visual, security, low voltage, and operations equipment. A new salt storage building is also included in the project scope, as well as additional work within other existing buildings on the site. The Reedsburg project consists of the construction of a new County Highway Department satellite facility. The facility includes support business functions, including limited office area, meeting room, breakroom, restrooms & locker rooms, etc. It also includes areas to support daily operations, including a fleet parking garage and vehicle wash bay. The facility is approximately 44,965 square feet, including mezzanine storage areas. The Sauk County Highway Department will vacate the existing Reedsburg facility prior to the start of construction, and existing buildings will be demolished as a part of the project. Work scopes include, but are not limited to, demolition, civil & landscape, asphalt paving, concrete, structural steel, overhead crane, precast walls & floors, membrane roofing, carpentry, doors & windows, interior and exterior finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection & fire alarm, information technology, audio visual, security, low voltage, and operations equipment. A new salt storage building is also included in the project scope.
