Description | As of December 06, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The projects consist of demolition of the existing Fire Station and construction of a new fire station #82 with, vehicle maintenance, fire administration facility, and health department facility. The project is approximately 32,815 square feet. Bids will be based on a single lump sum for the following separate Contracts: 1. General. Successful Bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids in their best interest. A Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid must accompany each bid. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within fifteen days after award of contract, the check, or bond shall be forfeited to the NSFD as liquidated damages per Section 62.15 (3) Wisconsin Statutes. Successful Bidder will be required to have Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. Cost of Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond shall be included in Bid. The NSFD intends to use its tax exempt status to procure construction products for the work. All Contractor(s) and Subcontractor(s) are required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance in accordance with the insurance requirements of the contract documents. All Contractor(s) and Subcontractor(s) must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, or developmental disability as defined in s. 51.01(5), Wis. Stats., or national origin. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of One Hundred Twenty (120) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The NSFD reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive any irregularity or informality in bidding and to accept any bid which will be to the best interest of the NSFD |
