Description | The PS-2 Bar Rack Replacement and Grit Collection System Improvements project intended to improve reliability and increase removal efficiencies of screening and grit at the GLWA Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF). Major scope of work elements include: 1) Screen equipment replacement with finer opening bar screens, 2) Installation of screenings conveyance and compacting equipment, 3) Expansion of the PS-2 Screen Building to include space for screenings handling and temporary material storage prior to hauling to landfill, 4) Replacement of aerated grit removal tanks with stirred vortex technology, 5) Construction of a new Grit Processing Facility to dewater and temporarily store grit material prior to hauling to landfill, 6) Channel aeration system. Question Due Date/Time: Wednesday, January 24, 2024, 12:00 PM EST All questions must be sent through https://glwater.bonfirehub.com/portal Bid Bond - 5% of Bid Price Performance Bond - 100% of Contract Price Payment Bond - 100% of Contract Price Contractor shall have completed at least three (3) construction projects in the past ten (10) years in a municipal wastewater treatment plant with a contract value of at least $50 Million. If the work under this solicitation is for a federally funded construction project vendor shall be required to pay prevailing wage rates in compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act. The state of Michigan does not have a prevailing wage rate law. Contractor shall be licensed to perform building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical Work by the State of Michigan, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Divisions, respectively GLWA reserves the right to reject any and all responses to this solicitation including, without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional responses |
