Description

1. Bridge and Approach Rails – Install new galvanized I-beam bridge and approach rail. Bridge posts to be pedestal mounted and anchored to the top of the existing curbs with VTrans approved epoxy. 2. Concrete Bridge Deck Repairs – Mechanical removal of deteriorated concrete, saw cutting of edges, repairing of reinforcing steel as necessary and placement of VTrans approved rapid setting concrete repair material. 3. Scour Protection – Excavate, place geotextile fabric and stone fill around existing abutments to protect against scour. 4. Clean and paint existing steel beam Superstructure – Clean existing steel girders and diaphragms to bare steel and apply a VTrans (NEPCOAT) approved 3-coat paint system.
