Hanover Park Fire Station #16

R.C. Wegman Construction Company requests bid proposals on behalf of the Village of Hanover Park for the construction of a 14,000 SF Fire Station, located at 2355 Schick Road, Hanover Park, IL 60133. Proposals shall be based on the requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents prepared by the Construction Manager and the Architect/Engineer. Only complete bid packages will be accepted. Bidders requesting clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall provide a written request to the Construction Manager no later than End of Day, Wednesday, February 1, 2023. All Bidders will be required to furnish bid security in the form of a bid bond, bank cashier's check or cash in the amount of (10%) of the base bid amount, and it shall be submitted with the Bid Proposal documents. Bid Bonds shall be made payable to Village of Hanover Park. Performance and Payment Bond will be furnished by RCW, and will NOT be required by the Subcontractors. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Hanover Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any technicalities, discrepancies, or information in the bids. The Village of Hanover Park does not discriminate in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs and activities. All Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law regarding the payment of prevailing wages by all labors, workmen and mechanics working on public funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the Bidding Contractor shall be responsible for any associated additional costs without any change to the proposed contract amount. The proposed contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statute, CH. 69, Par. 10102, etc. Minority Business Enterprise Participation: Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The successful contract bidder(s) are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.
