US 101/Chicken Coop Creek - Remove Fish Barrier

STIP ID 310161D-05 This 3-foot by 4-foot concrete box culvert is a migratory fish barrier. This project will replace the existing box culvert with a three-sided bottomless culvert and realign the creek channel. When complete, this migratory fish passage barrier will be eliminated and sediment deposition reduced. As of October 20, 2022, this project is in Final Planning status. Preliminary engineering has begun and environmental design is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2023. The contract advertisement is expected in fourth quarter of 2022 and construction is anticipated to be operationally complete in the third quarter of 2024.
