Citywide Bike - Bike Lane Package 1

Description: Schedule A - Is located along four blocks of Marion Street between the intersections of Marion Street at East Bayaud Avenue and Marion Street at East Virginia Avenue. The project will remove the existing pavement striping through the project limits, including the existing striped bike lane. The project will install striping, tubular markers, and cast-in-place concrete curbs for the new bike lane configuration which will relocate the bike lanes to the inside curb lines and include a bike lane buffer. The street signing will be revised throughout the project to meet current city standards. Traffic control will be required along the project during construction. Schedule B- Remove existing bike lane markings, and signage from 21st to 36th Ave on Central Park Boulevard, re-stripe new protected bike way, install vertical delineator posts, and curb stops, install new signage to enhance cyclist safety. Schedule C - Will perform the construction of protected bike lanes and traffic calming measures to support two-way bicycle travel on W 23rd Ave and Water St from Federal Blvd to Speer Blvd (0.85 miles) The improvements include bike lanes with a dedicated and protected space for bike travel at street level, using a variety of methods for physical protection from passing traffic. Improvements include: bicycle facility elements, signage and striping, vertical separation (flex posts and rubber curbs),refinement of street usage and geometrics. All improvements will be constructed to current CCD and ADA standards and specifications.
