Description

East Mecklenburg High School Partial Roof Replacement Project Project Location: 6800 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28214. Qualified Minority-Owned Contractors are encouraged to bid. Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Base Bid: Work under Base Bid generally consists of the following: 1. Roof replacement on Roof Areas I1, I2, I3, and I4 generally consists of removal and disposal of the existing gravel-surfaced built-up roofing system, perlite insulation, polyisocyanurate insulation, flashings, metal coping caps, andassociated work specified herein to the existing roof decks. Work includes furnishing and installation of a new 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system, mineral perlite cover board, tapered insulation crickets and saddles, polyisocyanurate insulation, flashings, metal coping caps, roof drains and associated work specified herein. See Table 3-1 in specification Section 075216 for additional information. Removal of existing insulation, cover board, and associated flashings down to existing lightweight insulating concrete. Installation of new fastened base sheet, insulation adhered in ribbon adhesive, and modified bitumen roofing system and all associated flashings. Installation of new edge metal fascia. MBE (10%), WBE (6%), SBE (5%)
