Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) Surface Restoration Contract

Surface Restoration Work is generally needed to restore a disturbed area after AWWU has conducted excavation operations to repair a water or sewer appurtenance on its underground infrastructure. This restorative work will include all operations, materials, and working arrangements essential for Restoration of a disturbed area and referred herein as a Designated Work Site, to its pre-existing condition, as close as is possible. Work shall conform to the referenced resources under 100.04 Specifications, Codes, Ordinances, and Standards and changes noted under 100.05 Changes to Municipality of Anchorage Standard Specifications (M.A.S.S.) in these Special Provisions, and the Engineer may direct the Contractor to diverge from these specifications when necessary, and it is in the best interest of the MOA. The Work may include, but is not limited to restoring asphalt pavement for roadways, asphalt driveways-private and public, pavement markings, concrete driveways-private and public, curb, gutter, and sidewalks; removal of unsuitable fill material and replacement with suitable fill material; topsoil, seeding, flowers, bushes, trees, fencing, retaining walls, and other landscape oddities. Bonding Requirements are per MASS/MASS B or as per special provisions. The Municipality of Anchorage reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening of bids or before the award of contract unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days from the time of the opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
