Description | Project was awarded to Accurate Drilling Systems, Inc. for $7,495,675.50. The intent of the City is to procure the services of one (1) qualified Contractor related to the construction of the Western Raw Water Main Construction Project. The following reflects the Scope of Services necessary for the construction of the Western Raw Water Main project. This work will be consistent with the adopted goals, objectives, and programs of the City of Port St. Lucie City Council. All work shall be in accordance with the project plans prepared by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. consisting of pages 1 - 44 and Technical Specifications consisting of pages 1 - 241. The contract period is estimated at three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days with no option to renew. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials necessary to perform the raw water main extension, consisting of approximately 2,600 LF of 30 inch PVC pipe, 3,780 LF of 24 inch PVC pipe, 800 LF of 16 inch PVC pipe, 340 LF of 12 inch PVC pipe, with two (2) 30 inch fusible PVC directional bores (with two (2) 2 inch HDPE DR11 conduits), 1 bore is at 5,690 LF of I-95/wetlands and 1 is at 740 LF under a conservation area, along with 2-inch PVC Sch 40 conduit (7,720 LF) and concrete pull boxes (20) for future fiber optic as shown on the plans. The project shall include all piping, fittings, couplings, accessories and appurtenances, site restoration, testing, flushing, pressure testing of the raw water main, obtaining all required permits, compliance with permit conditions, maintenance of traffic in accordance with City of Port St. Lucie Standards/County/FDOT, paving, restoration and any other items depicted on the drawings and described in these documents and referenced materials. The project includes Alternate Bid Items for the 2 directional bores, to consider HDPE DR11 IPS for the bore, along with 2 shorter directional bores as opposed to 1 long bore. In addition, there are Additive Alternate Bid Items, for the possible addition of 6 pigging stations and additional valves to be considered as possible award items if the City decides to add the pigging stations to the project. The contractor will be required to comply with the permits that have been acquired by the engineer from the following regulatory agencies: 1. Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). 2. Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). 3. City of Port St. Lucie Engineering Department. The Contractor must have all the required licenses and certifications necessary to perform this work. The approved Licenses for this work include a State of Florida General Contractor License and/or a State of Florida Underground Utility and Excavation License. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify with the City's Building Department that they possess the proper licenses and certifications to perform the work prior to submitting a bid.
