Description | The project consists of furnishing, installing and providing all labor and materials required for construction to rehabilitate manholes and wastewater lines, replace manholes and conduct pipe point repairs and miscellaneous items, as more fully described in the Drawings and the summary of work contained in Section 00500. The City of Georgetown is accepted sealed bids for the construction project: EARZ Wastewater System Rehabilitation 2021-2022 Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified cashier's check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, payable to the City of Georgetown in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds, when required, shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent surety or insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Texas and as specifically prescribed in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. xMinimum insurance requirements are specified in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay to laborers, workmen, and mechanics the prevailing wage rates as required by the Supplemental Conditions. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive minor technicalities, and to award a contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Owner, appear to be in its best interest. A minor technicality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to hold any or all proposals for the period of time from the opening of bids as specified in Section 00300, Bid Form. |
