Description | Scope of Work is to procure a contractor, herein referred to as "Contractor", to provide Custodial Services, for the Smithsonian Institution's (SI) National Zoological Park also referred to as NZP located at 3001 Connecticut Ave NW Washington DC. The National Zoo is open to the public 364 days a year closing only on December 25th The facility is approximately 163 acres with 90+ buildings on site, with office, lounges, security, visitor services, and assembly area, equaling approximately 75337.80 square foot. The public restrooms have approximately 5,914 square foot of cleaning space and the staff restrooms have approximately 4,580 square foot for a total of 8583 I.80 square foot. 1. These areas have VCT, carpet, stone, type flooring. At least 7 of the buildings with approximately 30334.74 square foot on site are required to be ready for public access by 9am 7 days a week, with Amazonia public areas with approximately 5503.41 square foot be ready for public access by 10am 7 days a week. The public restrooms are open at 8am these require heavy cleaning prior to park opening and then require hourly inspections and light cleaning at a minimum. During the summer months from March 15th - October I5th the park experiences or expects high visitation, the contractor will be required to station an attendant at the 4 main public restrooms which are Visitors Center, Panda restroom, Elephant Outpost, Conservation Pavilion restrooms to provide continues resupply and cleaning to maintain appearance and healthy standards. The Contractor's proposal shall include two basic pricing methods for the acquisition of these services. The first is fixed-price lump sum, referred to as firm fixed-price, FFP. Under FFP, which covers the majority of the work under the contract in which the Contractor is required to furnish all the services and materials listed for the base contract period and the option year periods. All other items will be handled on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity ( IDIQ) basis utilizing the second pricing method of time and materials. |
