Turf Field Site Work

Project Description: The project includes the development of field-side amenities adjacent to both the North Turf Field and the South Turf Field on the west side of the SUNY New Paltz. The proposed amenities at the South Field included spectator seating to be located on the east side of the field, and a filming tower with storage area to be positioned on the west side of the field. The spectator seating will provide approximately 200 seats placed on an elevated pad. The elevated pad is gravity block wall system backfilled with aggregate and topped with asphalt paving. The field-side pad wall will receive a metal handrail. The manufactured bleacher units will be provided by the owner and installed by the contractor. The filming platform and storage enclosure are manufactured items to be provided and installed by the contractor atop a cast-in-place concrete pad. Electrical and data serving these amenities will be installed within existing and new conduit back to Lenape Hall. Data cabling will be pulled by the campus. The proposed amenities at the North Turf Field also include a filming tower with storage area to be positioned on the west side of the field. The filming platform and storage enclosure are manufactured items to be provided and installed by the contractor atop a cast-in-place concrete pad. Power to the new tower will be pulled through an existing conduit from the Storage building on the east side of the field. A new conduit for data will be installed between the softball field and turf field to allow the campus to pull new data cabling from the Elting Gym Building.
