Description | The project may include work at multiple City potable water sites; modification of the Roosevelt groundwater well and arsenic treatment system to discharge directly into the City’s water distribution system, modification of the Frye groundwater well to discharge directly into the City’s water distribution system, evaluate the Gilbert Water Production Facility (WPF) booster station for the feasibility of installing pumps to discharge into the City’s water distribution system, evaluate the City’s distribution system immediately downstream of the Gilbert WPF to identify undersized piping and/or other issues, and explore well disinfection/analyzer alternatives at Roosevelt, Frye and Gilbert with potential options of on-site stored liquid bleach or on-site liquid bleach generation. Additionally, the City is planning a new pressure reducing valve (PRV) station on the southwest corner of Pecos and Cooper Roads. The purpose of the PRV station will be to move about 4.5 million gallons per day of water from the City’s Reservoir Supply System (RSS) which is treated water from the Santan Vista Water Treatment Plant, to the City’s distribution system. |
